Hello to my one follower
So recently i have dabbled in 3D modelling. The results were fairly good and i feel everything i created is identifiable.
I have also made my ball jump round this 3D environment and after many attempts i have created my first animation over 2 seconds. This will be added at a later date once i have put it though premiere pro.

Recently i have watched coonskin (1975) this early propaganda animation is very contraversial and quite dificult to watch. I enjoyed looking into the history of animation and most of all the hand drawn techniques.
I also watched animal farm. Another propaganda film. This was allot more 'user friendly' and easy to watch than coonskin due to the more humerous storyline. I feel this animation puts its point of view across very clearly and all imagery links stronly to soviet russia.

Okay, so this is the first time i have ever studied or done any animation. My background is largely in drawing and painting, so it has been a steep learning curve the past 2 weeks.
So far i have completed a project that included morphing a dog into a frog. The assignment was to draw a character, then find out whom is before you on the register. Then to morph their character into yours. I did this using pencil and paper. I started by drawing a half way point, for those out there who have tried morphing a dog into a frog will unfortunately know this is easier said than done. I then drew a little storyboard of how i imagined different parts would need morphing. My final product was done by using this map and frame by frame morphing the dog. We then took pictures of these drawings using a mounted camera and some software which put the images together into a movie format.
I have also had 3 3D animation classes using maya. These were very difficult as i was not only learning how to use the new software, but also all the short cuts. This was by far the most challenging so far and the most fun. In the second lecture i was animating a ball and by the third learning how to squish and manipulate the ball.
To animate the ball i selected what point on the timeline i wanted and then where i wanted the ball to be at this point. To make the actions of the ball more believable i then played with the timing and how the computer had filled in the actions between different key frames.
examples of work will be updated shortly.
