SketchBook

This is a selection of my different sketchbooks. There is work to backup my background project and my private sketches. I really enjoy drawing from observation now; my use and understanding of perspective has increased astronomical amounts as i hope you will see!

Ident

For this assignment i had to create an experimental piece of animation to a soundtrack. I feel the final product works well, although i would have liked to do it all in spray paint. Regardless the instruments move to the music well.

On this assignment i was asked to create an Ident for my animation course. Recently my university changed its names to the initials FU, this became the main attraction of the Ident. I created it by painting on a wall and taking photographs. The camera moves a small amount, but on such large scale animation this is hard to prevent. ENJOY!

LifeDrawing

This is a selection of my favourite life drawing this term. I feel i have been gradually improving with each lesson. This is one of my most favourite features about animation. I am starting to understand form and weight more and more, and my eye for proportions seems to be continually improving.

showreel

This is my showreel of of my work. It feature:
Heavy ball
Light ball
Bert walk cycle
Bert slip
Morpheous poses
Push box, constraints
Throw constraints
and all my 2D

Animatic

This was the first animatic i ever created, and the first time using a video editing package. I felt as a first attempt this went well. I spent time on making the pictures fit with the music and dialogue and the direction of animation fits the camera pans throughout the filming.

Drawings!

This was part of my animal head project. I enjoyed depicting the persons personality as animals.

First ever storyboard

This person is a massive bitch, and that is why i depicted her as a dog. You know who you are!

This person has an uncanny reflection od a sloth!

Lion King, Yeah!

Anatomy, in pen<-- favourite medium

Was happy with proportion as it is what i struggle with the most

Not so happy with proportion..
